1.To apply for a Senegalese visa, an applicant starts with pre-enrollment and payment of necessary fees online. This is done by visiting www.visasenegal.sn and following the given procedure. On the page, the applicant selects the prompt click here to apply for your visa. A click on the prompt leads the applicant to a page

on the page the applicant must follow the steps as directed by the system;
2.When the applicant is done with the online application, he / he proceed identifying a nearby and most appropriate issuing agency in home or neighbouring country. At this stage applicants must know that visas can only be obtained from embassies with capacity to take biometric data, a list of these can be viewed at http://www.visasenegal.sn/?page_id=97.
3.When an issuing agency is identified, the applicant goes to agency and upon arrival, the biometric information is take by the authority; and
4.Thereafter a visa is issued;

1.Applicants must ensure that purpose of visiting country is not work related;
2.An applicant must ensure that a submitted passport is valid
3.A valid passport must have a blank visa page and six months validity beyond visa validity;
4.Applicants must not stay in the country beyond visa validity;
5.Applicants who wishes to stay in the country beyond validity of visa must ensure renew visa before expiry date;
6.Foreigners visiting the country must be ready to comply with rules and regulations in the country;
7.Applicants are argued to always use designated entry points to entry into the country;
8.Applicants must not enter with dangerous / prohibited materials / substances,
9.Issuance of visa does not mean authorization to enter into the country;
10.The immigration department at the entry point has the authority to allowing or rejecting entry even with a visa;
11.An applicant must have enough finances before traveling to the country;
12.Applicant when proceeding with the pre-enrolment stage must ensure that he has an email address as a verification code will be sent to the email;
13.All documents submitted on line must be in one of the recognized format;
14.The recognized formats for documents submitted online are JPG, PNG, GIF and PDF;
15.Applicants must have either a Visa, MasterCard or MAESTRO card in order to be able to obtain a biometric visa;
16.Each uploaded document should not exceed the required MBs;
17.Applicant must know that not all entry ports issue visas on arrival;
18.Visas can only be obtained from embassies with capacity to take biometric data;
19.Applicant who wishes to travel with children must carry a proof of parenthood or guardianship or an authorization letter from the childrens parents/guardians.

A Senegalese tourist visa is a stamp or endorsement placed on the passport of a foreigner by officials of the government of Senegal for purposes traveling to the country for leisure related activities. The leisure activities related activities include but not limited to visiting friends and family, attending meetings, seminars or conference and touring the country. Senegalese visas are issued by the government through the Ministry of Interior and its diplomatic missions in foreign countries.

- In cases where an applicant is not able to identify a nearby issuing agency, he / she can go with biometric data to Senegal and upon arrival, the information is taken and a visa is issued. But here before travelling, applicants are advised to take note of entry ports that issue visas on arrival because not all ports do so;
- Applicants must take note of the working hours and days of identified issuing agency. This is advisable to save applicant from travelling to agencies on non working days and hours;
