Senegal - Apply for a Spousal visa or Family visa

ProcedureEdit

The applicant is required to download a Visa application form.http://visaapplicationrequirements.com/Senegal/
The applicant should also acquire a cover letter from his employer so as to start applying for a Family visa.
The applicant is required to pay visa fees at a designated bank and acquire a receipt acknowledging payment.
The applicant then submits a fully filled and signed visa application form together with the payment receipt and cover to a Senegal embassy in their country or at an entry point into Senegal. After a few days a Senegal Visa will be issued to the applicant upon fulfilling all the requirements for Visa application.

A document proving the applicant's relationship to the person or family member
Application form duly completed
Marriage certificate
Certificate of good conduct
Proof that the marriage was not entered into for the purpose of acquiring immigration or citizenship status (joint sworn affidavit)
Proof that the marriage is subsisting (applicable to spouses)
Copy of national passport
Copy of Gabon passport or identity card of the Senegal spouse
2 passport size photographs

EligibilityEdit

A foreigner who is a spouse, civil partner or de facto partner to a Senegal citizen is eligible for the spousal visa. Provided to the spouse, civil partner or de facto partner of a resident or Senegalese citizen, in to the couple to in Senegal.

Application Fees $230

Medical examination and required vaccinations (costs vary)

Other costs may include: translations; photocopying charges; fees for obtaining the documents you need for the immigrant visa application (such as passport, police certificates, birth certificates, etc.); and expenses for travel to the embassy or consulate for your visa interview. Costs vary from country to country and case to case.

Note: Fees must be paid for each intending immigrant, regardless of age, and are not refundable.

Processing of a Senegal spousal Visa takes between 14 to 30 working days.

InstructionsEdit

First off you will need to enter Senegal on a visitor's visa.
You need to present proof of marriage to the immigration department.
You must be in possession of a valid passport with blank pages where the Visa will be placed.
Once you obtain your spousal Visa you do not need to renew your Visitors Visa once it expires after 6 months.
A spousal Visa does not guarantee a foreigner to work in Senegal.

Need for the DocumentEdit

A visa is a document stating that a person is authorized to enter or leave the territory for which it was issued, subject to permission granted by the immigration official at the time of actual entry.

The authorization may be a document, but it is commonly in a form of a stamp endorsed in the applicant's passport (or passport-replacing document). A Spousal visa in Senegal is issued to the spouse, partner or de facto partner of a resident or citizen of Senegal to enable the couple reside in Senegal. One of the spouse must be a Senegal e national for you to obtain a spousal Visa.

The spousal Visa permits entry into Senegal through any border posts, sea ports and airports. However the possession of a Senegal Visa is not the final authority to enter Senegal as one has to contact the Department of immigrations services in Senegal for details and authorization.
