Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for a sewer connection, eligible applicant should visit the Senegal National Sanitation Office (ONAS) branch agency near the residence and express your interest at the customer service desk. .(please view address detail under Office Locations & Contacts section below)
  2. Collect the application form from the ONAS front desk or download it via ONAS website via this link Linkor use this link to download it directly Link
  3. Attach all the required documents (see required document below) to the completed form and, submit the documents to be verified and registered by the ONAS agent.
  4. Once the file has been established, you will be required to pay for the application fee (non-refundable), you will be issued with an acknowledgment slip and an appointment booking for a site survey,
  5. The application file is then transmitted to the technical service for study, by the technical sales agents and the quantity surveyors.
  6. The ONAS surveyor’s team will then be sent to the site {residence} to inspect its feasibility and write a report.
  7. The report will then be validated by the technical agent and then sent to the Ministry in charge of Roads represented by AGEROUTE Senegal for opinion and authorization before the connection work beings. Note in case the connection has an impact on the road network, your request will be declined.
  8. If approved by the AGEROUTE, the ONAS technical agent draws a receipt indicating the estimated quotation cost of the layout connection materials from the main sewer line pipe.
  9. The file along with the estimated quotation receipt is then returned to the reception desk, to be issued to the applicant, who then decides if and when to make the connection fee.
  10. If you agree to make the payment, the reception agent fills in and signs the contract form and sends it to the customer service manager for signature.
  11. The file is recorded on the computer, then sent to the cash register where you will be advised to make payment against the connection receipt.
  12. Upon payment, you will be issued an estimated payment receipt as well as the original copy of the contract.
  13. A copy of the file is then sent to the accounting department for the journaling of the receipts. A second copy is sent to technical service and a third is filed with customer service.
  14. The technical service team will then visit the residence for the connection to the sewer within 10-15 days after payment of the estimated quote, for connections without road crossing.
  15. After completion of the work a brief representing the final invoice will be established, the customer will be reimbursed in the event of overpayment between the estimated quote and the final invoice.


Apply Online

  1. An applicant can initiate the application process for a sewer line connection request online and then complete the rest of the application process in person.
  2. Visit the ONAS website Link and select Request a Sewer Connection under the customer service'dropbox.
  3. You will be redirected to the next page, fill out the request form accurately then click on Submit tab.
  4. A confirmation text will then be displayed on site, confirming that your request has been taken into consideration. Note the applicant can track the progress of their request online via this link Link
  5. Upon receipt of the request from the ONAS, the application file is then transmitted to the technical service for study, by the technical sales agents and the quantity surveyors.

EligibilityEdit

Applicants should meet the following criteria;

  • The Applicant should have a water connection subscription with the Sen'Eau and resides in a sector provided with a sewerage network


FeesEdit

  • Application fees: 3,988 FCFA.
  • Amount of the estimate (deposit, stamp, and amount of services): Depending on the distance from the connection to the public sewer.


ValidityEdit

  • The validity of the connection is forever unless one fail’s to pay the sewer bill, which may lead to disconnection of the service.
