Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. In case of lost/stolen Transport Authorization License, you should immediately reporting it to the nearest police station, upon that you will be issued with a police report/certificate of lost.
2. Upon obtaining the police report/certificate of lost, you should Visit the Road Transport Department head office or regional offices, to apply for duplicate Transport Authorization License or Transport License. (Please view address detail under “Office Locations & Contacts” section of this page).

   • Note: Applicants are advised to book an appointment via the CAPP KARANGË booking confirmation, number: (+221) 77 438 86 19 before visiting the Road Transport Department offices.

3. On the scheduled appointed date and time, you are required to head to the specific Road Transport Department or in regional offices (mining service) as advised by the CAPP KARANGË staff during the appointment confirmation process.
4. Applicants are required to complete the Duplicate Application form for Transport Authorization License, forms are available for free at the Enquiries Desk at any of the offices of the Department of Road Transport.
5. Applicants should then submit the duly completed application forms along with the relevant attachments (mentioned below under the ‘Required Documents’ section) to the Registration and licensing Officer at the nearest Department of Road Transport for approval.
6. On receipt of the application file, the Registration and licensing officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided for processing, if everything is in order, you will then be required to pay for a tax stamp, whose value varies according to request.
7. It is only after the deposit of the complete application file and payment of the required fee, that the application file will be registered and recorded and the applicant will be issued with an acknowledgment slip containing details of the application.
8. If approved the duplicateTransport Authorization License will be drawn up, signed, and stamped by the authorized official and made available to be collected by the client against his/her identity document and the acknowledgment slip.
   

Online tracking of the application file

1. Upon submission of the application file for processing by the department of road transport office, applicants can track the progress of their application by visit the CAPP KARANGË website Link and click on FOLLOW MY FILE option located on the menu bar.
2. Fill in the online file consultation form, using the information mentioned on the acknowledgment slip, captch the security details and then click on the To Consult tab.
3. Details of your application progress will then be displayed on the screen.

• A certificate of loss with precise details
• A photocopy of the vehicle registration document concerned by the authorization
• A photocopy of the road transport approval card for public transport or the certificate of registration in the trade register for private transport.
• A tax stamp in the amount of 7,500 FCFA for public transport and in the amount of 15,000 FCFA for private transport

Eligibility

• Holders of Transport Authorization License that have had their license stolen/lost/damaged

Fees

• A tax stamp in the amount of 7,500 FCFA for public transport and in the amount of 15,000 FCFA for private transport

Validity

• The validity for the Transport Authorization License will remain the same as the original stolen/lost/damage license and renewable thereafter.

• The road transport authorization license, better known as the transport license, gives its holder the right to transport people or goods from one place to another.
