Senegal - Apply for a Business Visa

In order to get your Senegalese visa, you must first pre-enroll online. Then you will print the registration receipt to carry with your passport and all the requirements to get the actual visa upon arrival at Dakar Leopold Sedar Senghor International Airport. Upon arrival at the airport the traveler must go to the "Visa Airport" area where biometric information will be taken and the visa will be printed and affixed to the passport. Upon arrival at the airport go to the "Visa Airport" area where you complete the biometric enrollment. The visa will then be printed and affixed to your passport. When you arrive in Senegal you will need:

The original Registration Receipt and Approval of pre-enrollment documents
Passport valid for at least six months + a photocopy of the first five pages
Round-trip or onward ticket or proof of departure
Hotel confirmation or accommodation certificate (or a copy of proof of ownership if the traveler is the owner of the house to be visited in Senegal)
Business travelers must also carry a letter of invitation from the company/person to be visited.
A minor traveling alone must also have a notarized letter of parental consent.

You must provide one 2"x2" passport type photo.
A Business Letter from your company address to "Embassy of Senegal " explaining the purpose of the trip, guaranteeing financial support for you while in Senegal.

Senegalese visas issued upon arrival are generally valid for 3 months and allow a single entry. It is possible to extend the visa once in Senegal, or a new visa must be obtained for the next visit.

Processing TimeEdit

For normal time it takes 7 days but allowance of (6-8 weeks) will be taken to process a business Visa in Senegal.

Typically, a visa takes anywhere from 2 days to 15 days to process in the Senegal Embassy/Consulate depending on the consulate that you need to send the application to and whether you choose to "rush" your Senegal visa.

Need for the DocumentEdit

A Senegal visa is a stamp or endorsement placed by officials of Senegal on a passport that allows the bearer to visit Senegal. Visas are obtained from the Embassy or consulates of Senegal for your visit. "Visit" is further defined as the reason for entry, usually business, tourist or transitory.

Those foreigners who wish to start business within Senegal you must obtain a business visa. In order to apply for Business visas, a businessperson needs to provide the Senegal government with number of items in order for the visa to be processed.

While preparing that paperwork the applicant should also be ready to answer the interview Questions that he or she will be asked during the the testing period for the business Visa.

For Business visa applicants, you must include a letter from the Company stating the purpose of the trip, duration of stay, and who will be responsible for travel & accommodation expenses.

A valid passport and biometric visa are required for travel to Senegal. The government of Senegal has launched an online pre-enrollment program, which enables you to provide all of the required information for a Senegalese visa online, so that upon arrival at the international airport in Dakar you can simply have your biometric information taken and the visa can be issued.
