Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for Tenure, an applicant should visit the Ministry of Tourism and Air Transport Directorate of Tourism Regulations office or the nearest Regional Tourism Services office to apply. (Please view address details under office location and contact section below).
2. Express your interest to the receptionist/ secretariat front desk and collect all the necessary Tenure Application forms and fill them accurately.
3. Submit the completed forms, attach to the supporting document file {as listed under the required document section below} to the department concerned attending officer.
4. The officer will then verify, if all the necessary information and documents have been provided and that the applications comply with the selection criteria.
5. It is only after the deposit of the complete file, that the application file will be forwarded to the component department for processing and assessment.
6. If approved the Tourist Guide Card will be drawn up, signed, and stamped by the authorized official then issued to the applicant against his/her identity card immediately.
   

Apply Online

1. Applicants should visit the TéléDac website via this link Link and log in with your credential (user name and password) if already registered.
2. If you do not have an account, click on CREATE AN ACCOUNT tab, fill out the registration form accurately, and then click on the REGISTER tab.
3. An account activation link will be sent to the email address, you had registered with, click on the link, you will then be re-directed to the TéléDac platform, enter your (user name and password), and then click on the TO LOG IN tab to access your account.
4. Upon login, click on the PROCEDURES tab located on the right side of your computer screen, you will be redirected to the next page, select TOURISM option, then click on APPLICATION FOR TENURE option.
5. You will then be re-directed to the application forms page, proceed with the application process by filling out all the mandatory questions accurately, attach all the required documents as listed on the site, validate that all the information you have provided is accurate before submitting it.
6. You will then receive a confirmation mail via your email address, confirming that your application file has been taken into consideration.
7. Your application will then be forward to the nearest Regional Tourism Services office for processing.
8. If approved, the applicant will be notified of the outcome by mail/phone and given further instruction on where to collect the tourist guide card, against the applicant identification document and the acknowledgment letter/approval letter.

Required Documents

• A Handwritten request addressed to the Ministry of Tourism;
• Birth certificate less than three (03) months old;
• Extract from the Judicial Record dated less than three (03) months;
• Medical Certificate of Visit and Counter Visit;
• Legalized copies of diplomas obtained (higher diploma in tourism, minimum bac +2 (BTS in tourism or equivalent diploma in the following fields: art, culture, language, botany, fauna, etc.) ;
• Two (02) Identity Photos;
• One (01) Fiscal stamp of five thousand CFA francs (5,000 FCFA);
• Legalized copy of the national identity card.

Eligibility

• An Auxiliary tourist guide is eligible upon meeting the following criteria;
• At least after six years of practice, from the date of their approval, be approved as full guides
• After having passed the prescribed test.

Fees

• Fiscal stamp of five thousand CFA francs (5,000 FCFA)

Validity

• The tourist guide card is valid for one year and renewable thereafter
