17. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
18. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
19. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
20. Be prepared to undergo a criminal records check, which is often a standard part of the registration process to ensure you meet the fitness to practice requirements.
21. After obtaining the license, the applicant likely be required to engage in ongoing CPD activities to maintain.
22. If the application is approved, the applicant will receive the confirmation through email.

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply for a Speech Pathologist License in Scotland, you must meet the following requirements:
