Apply Online

  1. To Apply for Security Industry Authority License, the applicant has to make the application online via link
  2. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to select “Register for an Account” and “Register for a Business”.
  3. Enter all the registration details and click the “Register” button.
  4. Now the applicant has to log in with the username and password and click the “Login” button.
  5. The applicant has to select the form from the menu list.
  6. Enter all the details in the application form.
  7. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  8. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
  9. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
  10. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  12. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  13. If the application is successful, the applicant will receive his/her SIA license, allowing him/her to work in the private security sector in Scotland legally.
  14. This entire process can be completed within 2 – 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
