Procedure

You are a Saudi Arabia resident. You hold an out-of-country driving license or not. You can obtain your Saudi Arabia driving license by following:

1. Prepare the required documents:
   • Your Iquamah or residence permit (original + copy)
   • Copy of your Passport
   • Your out-of-country driving license (if applicable)
   • Your medical report (blood group test)
   • Your colour passport size photos
   • Driving license fee (If you pay through your Iquamah ID and keep the voucher)
2. Visit a suitable driving school
   • Present the required documents at the entrance gate. You will be asked driving license fee by bank payment, if you do not have a voucher.
   • From the shop, you will get application form which will be filled for you in Arabic then and enclose it in file cover.
   • Please follow all of officer’s guiding to take your Eye-sight test then go to “License Check” counter to get a stamp on your application and take your “First Try”. In this try, you will be asked to drive the car ahead and then reverse a little. It is just to see whether you are comfortable driving a car, the officer will make his comments on your application.
   • Your file will be taken and you must attend a 3 hours class. This is the basics of driving and there will be a computer test. After class they will take you to a room where you can start the test. There would be 20 questions and you have to answer them in 30 minutes. If you make any mistake in the first ten questions, you will be failed.
   • After completing and passing the computer test then they will test your driving skills. Follow their entire request; it is very easy test by the way. If you pass this, you can go to “License Delivery” place and get your counter number. You will get your Saudi Arabia driving license at this counter.
