Apply by Mail

  1. To apply for an Explosive Importation Permit or License, the applicant has to approach Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). Here is the contact Link
  2. The applicant has to download the form from the given following Link
  3. Fill out the application form with all the relevant details.
  4. The applicant will need to submit additional documents, find the required documents under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant will need to pay fees. Find further information under the “Fees” section of this page.
  6. Submit the application form by mailing it to the address mentioned under the “Office Locations and Contacts” section of this page.
  7. Once the application form has been approved by the authorities, the applicant shall receive their permit by mail within a few weeks from the submission of the application.

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant must be 18 years of age or above.
  • The applicant must have a storage site to store the imported goods.



FeesEdit

  • $164 plus $20 for each 1,000 kg NEQ imported subject to a maximum fee of $1,324, calculated:
  • On the basis of the estimated maximum quantity to be imported during the year, for an initial application.
  • Or on the basis of the quantity imported during the most recent year, for any subsequent application
