Apply In-Person:
- To apply Income Support for Workers in person, the applicant has to visit the Social Services Office nearest to his/her location.
- Address and contact details of the applicable Social Services Office with the help of the following link: Social Services Office finder
- Find an office with respect to the location and visit the Social Services Office for applying.
- The applicant has to inform the officer over there that they need to apply for Income Support for Workers.
- Make sure that all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page, are available.
- A separate social worker will be allotted for the applicant and he/she will help the applicant to complete the application process.
- Complete the online application process by following the instructions of the social worker or ask him/her to complete the application by providing the required information.
- After completing an application, he/she will ask them another set of questions about their health, education and employment history, etc.
- This is done to determine what service supports best may suit their needs as they move towards self-sufficiency to the best of their ability.
- Do as instructed and when all the necessary processes are over, the applicant will be sent a notification through registered mobile number or email address regarding the application approval.
- Within a stipulated period of time, the applicant will start receiving his/her income support, with respect to the application request.
Apply Online
- To apply Income Support for Workers online, the applicant has to visit the following online application link Apply online
- Enter the login details in the next page and click “Sign In” button or click “Create Account” button to create an account.
- Click “Create Individual Account” button. Then, complete the account creation page with required details, check the “Terms & Conditions” box, do the captcha and click “Continue” button.
- The applicant will receive an email along with a verification link. Click it to verify the account and proceed to login using the login details.
- In the page that opens, list of services provided will be displayed. Select “Saskatchewan Income Support (SIS)” option and click the right arrow.
- Then click “Link Service” button and then click “Use Service” button. Click “Agree” button in the “Terms of use” page.
- Select applicable notification mode and click “Next” button. Then click “Apply” button. Click “Start New Application” then click “Start” button to start with checking the applicant’s eligibility to receive assistance.
- Answer all the questions as applicable and proceed. Similarly complete the other two sections of the application by following onscreen instructions.
- Complete and submit by clicking the applicable button. After completing an application, he/she will ask the applicant another set of questions about their health, education and employment history, etc.

EligibilityEdit
- The applicant must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or have refugee status.
- The applicant must be living in Saskatchewan and he/she must be 18 years or older.
- The applicant must be receiving no income or low income.
- The applicant must have explored every other reasonable way to support themselves, including employment, seeking child support, etc.

- The actual amount of money the applicant gets will depend on their situation. If eligible, they will get a monthly benefit amount that reflects their circumstances.
- Their circumstances are assessed every month so the amount they are paid, may change.
- Basic Benefit includes food, clothing, travel, personal and household items (monthly rate).
- If the applicant is applying as a couple, their spouse/partner must apply with them.
