Apply Online

  1. Visit the ERALIS portal via this direct link: ERALIS
  2. Enter your email address and password to login if you are a registered user or click on New User to create your account.
  3. In the registration form, choose to register as an individual or company and enter all the required information and then submit by clicking on the submit button
  4. Upon successful submission, you will receive a notification directing you to complete the registration via the link sent to your email inbox
  5. Go to your email account and click on the link provided to setup you password, make sure that the password matches the confirmation password for a successful setup, then click on the Home icon to login
  6. Fill in the online application form and upload all the required documents and then click on submit to send your application
  7. Once submitted, you will be able to see the progress of your application in your account and determine the results of the application through the keys provided i.e. pending, rejected or approved
  8. In case of new crop or variety, the registration processes of new variety according to the seed law will apply and when the application is received, RALIS will proceed for the Pest Risk Analysis (PRA) concerning the commodity in order to make quarantine decisions.
  9. If the results of the PRA show that the material can be imported into the country the some phytosanitary measures, the Directorate will proceed to issue a Plant Importation Permit specifying the phytosanitary import requirements to be fulfilled, including virus free certification, issued by an accredited laboratory/competent authority. Note that if the results of the PRA show that it may not be possible to import the planting material in question, then further discussions with all interested parties, will be held to arrive at a final decision.
