Rwanda - Obtain Horticultural Export License

Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Visit the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) office in your region to obtain the application form for horticultural export license and fill it correctly
2. Attach all the required documents to application form and submit the complete application to the receptionist at the NAEB office for verification
3. The receptionist will assess your application and if it is correct, schedule an appointment for the inspection of the horticultural product
4. On the date of inspection, NAEB will send an officer to inspect the field or farm/s where the exported commodities is being grown and the main observed elements are farming system, farming history, commodity, location and size.
5. The inspector will write a report based on the results of the inspection and submit it to the NAEB senior authorities
6. If the result of the inspection prove that the commodity to be exported meets the standard requirement, the export license will be prepared and availed for issuance
7. Visit the NAEB office, quality assurance and regulatory division to collect the license in person
