  1. To obtain a license or permit for Liquid Waste Disposal site, you would have to write an application letter to the Rwanda Utility Regulatory Authority (RURA).
  2. Make sure you have all the documents that are listed under the Required Documents section of this page, along with the completed Application Form. The application form can also be obtained from the office of RURA.
  3. Submit all the required documents and completed application form in RURA office. Following is the address of headquarters.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • Identification documents (Carte jaune) of the vehicles that transport waste water and/or sludge.
  • A receipt of the application fees.
  • A copy of the disposal contract.
  • Trade Register.
  • Notified Statute copy

NOTE: The information and attachments required must be attached for the application to be processed. In addition, the applicable fee must accompany the application.

FeesEdit

This license application form shall be accompanied by nonrefundable fee of five thousand Rwandan francs (5,000Rwf) payable to RURA account no 120.11.27 opened in the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR).
After the applicant have been granted a license, he/she must then pay the license fee equivalent to fifty thousand Rwandese francs (50,000Rwf) before getting it.
Note: After seven (7) working days, if the applicant has submitted a completed application form with all supporting documents, the applicant is requested to contact RURA about its application result allowing him/her to pay license fee.

License will be valid till 31st December of the year when the license is issued.
