Rwanda - License (Permit) Buy and Sell Minerals

ProcedureEdit

License to buy or sell Minerals are provided by Ministry of Trade and Industry (MINICOM). Address information related to office and other contact information are provided below.
You would have to submit all the relevant documents and the application in the reception of the address that is provided. Application forms will be available in the reception of the below address provided.
MINICOM will be sending it's authorities to check the warehouse to make sure all standards are being followed.
If the authorities are satisfied with the factory and other setups of the factory the license will be provided. If there may be any additional improvement or changes has to be made, the authorities will let you know.
If there is no changes to be ,ade the license will be provided to you in 3 days time. If you didn't receive any information in 3 days time you can make a complain.

Required DocumentsEdit

Application letter written to the Minister having commerce in his/her attributions.
Copies of national identity card for nationals or passport for foreigners.
Tax clearance certificate,
At least 10,000,000 RWF initial capital certified by the bank notice,
Copy of Trade Registry with residence visa for foreigners.
Proof of payment of three hundred thousand Rwandan francs (Rwf 300,000)

For legal entities

Application letter written to the Minister of Trade and Industry
Legal representatives signature and its seal,
Companys constitution notarized
For cooperatives, provide a registry certificate issued by Rwanda Cooperatives Agency.
At least 20,000,000 RWF initial capitals certified by the bank notice
Proof of payment of three hundred thousand Rwandan francs (Rwf 300,000)with a Rwanda Revenue Authority receipt..

This procedure provides you information obtaining license on how to buy and sell minerals in Rwanda. MINICOM provides license to open a warehouse for purchasing and selling minerals and precious stones, specifying types of mineral substances or precious stones of his/her interest.
