How to Apply

  1. First visit the Rwanda Development Board (RBD) office in your location to obtain the bank details of the RBD in order to pay the application fee for the investment certificate application.
  2. Make your way to the bank and deposit the application fees to the RBD account and obtain the original payment slip
  3. Create a user account to submit your application online via the One Stop Centre (OSC) Registration Portal through this link OSC
  4. Once in the page, key in your user name and password if you already have an account to login or click on the Register Now button to create an account
  5. Fill in the required information and click on the Register button to submit the information then check your email address to activate your account by opening the link sent to you.
  6. By opening the link you will be directed to the OSC portal where you can login to your activated account by keying your user name or email and password.
  7. Upon successfully login, select Investment certificate( Click Here for this service) to commence your application
  8. In the new page, select New Investment Applicationtab and fill all the required information and upload all the necessary document then submit your application for processing
  9. The system will automatically generate an email and send it to your email address notifying you that the application has been successfully submitted
  10. The application will be assessed accordingly and if it is approved, you will receive a notice of approval through your email address
  11. Once the certificate is availed for collection visit the RBD office, OSC unit and sign the register to collect your complete certificate of investment.



Note:

  • If the certificate is collected by the designated person, that person signs on behalf of the owner of the certificate
  • When an application is rejected, you will notified in writing of the reasons for rejecting the application within 2 working days from the date of receipt of the application.

InstructionsEdit

Your investment application letter should clearly indicate following:

  • The name and address of the proposed business enterprise, and its legal form
  • The nature of the proposed business activity and the level of planned capital investment
  • The estimated number of persons to be employed and categories of jobs to be created
  • The nature and volume of waste which shall be generated by the enterprise operations, and the proposed methods, of its management
  • The nature of support and facilitation which the investor is seeking from RDB.
