  1. Submit your application online through the National Agricultural Export Development Board (NAEB) E-Portal via this link: NAEB and enter you email and password to login or click on New user to create an account by filling the registration form. Once you have an account submit you application online, alternatively if the coffee is warehoused at NAEB (instead of a private bonded warehouse), this request can be made in person at the certification unit. After submitting your application, you will be issued a Consignment lot number (The consignment lot number is assigned by you while submitting the application in NAEB e-Portal. It will allow the Warehouse Officer to trace the application in NAEB e-Portal.)
  2. Transport the consignment to the NAEB warehouse that is from a private warehouse for analysis and obtain the analysis certificate once the coffee has been tested. Note that before storage in the warehouse, coffee is weighted. This may take some time depending on the size of the consignment. Once the coffee is received in the warehouse, samples are taken for testing in the laboratory, which takes maximum 3 hours. When the testing is complete the certificate of analysis is available for download in NAEB e-Portal. This will allow you the exporter to calculate the exact amount of NAEB fees to be paid.
  3. Calculate the fee you are supposed to pay according to your consignment and pay it at the bank and obtain the certificate fee payment receipt
  4. Visit the NAEB office certification unit and submit the certificate fee payment receipt to the assisting officer to collect the certificate of origin, certificate of quality and weigh note

NOTE:

  • Coffee producers with secured export warehouses do not need to bring their consignment to NAEB. NAEB staff go to the warehouse to take samples for testing.
  • The coffee consignment to be exported is stored at NAEB warehouse until all certificates have been obtained and clearance by the customs office is complete.
