Procedure

• Visit the concerned authority.
• Fill the application form with the complete information.
• Submit all the necessary documents.
• Pay the prescribed fees.

Required Documents

• Valid passport (original and copies of computer tab and tabs for visa application and border authorities stamps and copies of passports in the same file, in case the applicant entered the country with a travel document issued by a foreign authority)
• Birth certificate issued by Romanian civil status offices
• Marriage certificate issued by Romanian civil status offices
• The divorce final and irrevocable, as appropriate
• Proof of residence in Romania
• Proof of payment
• 2 recent photograph cm size, with a white band at the base of 7 mm

Eligibility

Romanian citizens living abroad and temporarily living in Romania.

Fees

• Receipt representing the provisional identity card - 1 lei
• Stamp duty or receipt representing the judicial stamp - 5 lei
