Rajasthan - Obtain Duplicate Registration Certificate

If your driver license is valid and it’s stolen or lost, then you would have to file a FIR with the local police station and the report is the vital document to apply for the duplicate vehicle registration certificate.

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for duplicate registration certificate in Rajasthan, the applicant has to approach the RTO office of the area.
  2. Information related to the RTO offices and registering authority can be obtained from the “Office and Location” Section of this page
  3. You will have to submit Application in front of registering authority.
  4. The application shall be made in application Form no 26 to the RTO
  5. The application form no 26 can be downloaded through following link: FORM 26
  6. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  7. Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
  8. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.

Apply Online via National Portal

  1. You can also apply for duplicate registration certificate through the National Portal, the following link will give you access to the parivahan seva, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India:National Portal
  2. From the dropdown menu of apply online services on the website select the “vehicle related services” option
  3. Once you select the vehicle related services, you will be redirected to the page, Parivahan Home page
  4. Enter Valid Vehicle Registration Number and click on Proceed
  5. Select option “Misc (TO/CoA/ HPA/HPC/HPT/DupRC)” from the Online Services Menu
  6. Enter Chassis Number and Mobile Number
  7. Fill the Applicant Details as instructed and required.
  8. Enter the OTP received and Click on Show details.
  9. Enter further details as per the form displayed.
  10. Click Submit and then Confirm and Make Payment
  11. Once Payment Done, Print Receipt.
  12. Book Appointment (if applicable) to visit RTO for verification process

  1. Filled up FORM 26, (in duplicate and one copy duly attested along with the endorsement from the financier of Hypothecated).
  2. Insurance certificate
  3. Aadhaar Card
  4. Fees payment receipt
  5. Copy of FIR (if applicable)
  6. Affidavit stating that RC is lost and has not been impounded
  7. Proof of Address
  8. Chalan clearance from traffic police & Enforcement wing Transport Department in commercial vehicles.
  9. Tax clearance from Accounts Department in commercial vehicles.
  10. Attested copy of PAN Card or Form 60 & 61(as applicable)
Note: Attested copy means photo copy attested by MLA/ Nigam Parshad/ Gazetted officer/ notary public.

  1. The fees mentioned below are in Rs., the fees is half of the fees charged during registration of the vehicle.
  2. Invalid Carriage: 25.00
  3. Motorcycle: 150.00
  4. Three Wheeler/ Quadricycle/Light Motor Vehicles Non Transport: 300.00
  5. Transport: 500.00
  6. Medium goods vehicle: 500.00
  7. Medium passenger motor vehicle: 500.00
  8. Heavy goods vehicle: 750.00
  9. Heavy passenger motor vehicle: 750.00
  10. Imported motor vehicles: 2500.00
  11. Imported motor cycle: 1250.00
  12. Any other vehicle not mentioned above: 1500.00

Any registered owner can apply for a duplicate registration certificate in case the original one is either lost or mutilated by approaching your local zonal office of the transport department.

  1. Valid Vehicle Number, Chassis Number and Mobile Number for OTP
  2. Valid details about payment modes like Internet banking, Debit/Credit Card etc details for making payments
