Rajasthan - How to Pay Electricity Bill

Electricity bill payment for the electricity consumed by a consumer shall be paid to the respective state electricity board (department).
“Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission” (RERC) is the electricity regulation board operating within the state of Rajasthan. The government-run power companies - Jaipur Discom (Jaipur VVNL), Ajmer Discom (Ajmer VVNL) and Jodhpur Discom (Jodhpur DVVNL) is the consumer service provider for Rajasthan.
Payment of electricity bill shall be paid through
1. Cash counters of respective electricity board office / Cash outlet
2. Online portal – Web Self Service
3. Pay through Mobile App
4. Pay through other sources (Billdesk / NEFT or RTGS / BBPS)

Tariff:

There are different amount charged for residential and commercial users. The rate of per unit charge varies with state to state and as per the slab decided by the respective electricity board.

Pay in person

Consumers shall pay their electricity bill by person at the respective electricity board office collection centers. Link for contact information of the respective consumer service provider is provided below. Please use the details to locate your office to pay bill in person

Go to the respective center and pay your bill amount along with the bill to make payment.
The counter staff will issue you the receipt for the payment made

Pay online – Bill Payment – State Portal

In order to pay online, please use the following link: Online Portal link
In the given page, user have to select “Pay Now” tab provided under “Electricity Bill Submission” to reach the Electricity bill payment page.
In the given page, Select your Electricity provider from dropdown list. Enter your KNO, your mobile number, email correctly (for sending payment related receipt) and hit “Get Bill”.
Verify your details like consumer name, address, bill month, year, bill number and amount in the resulting page. User has to select the applicable option to reach the payment page.
User should be selecting proper payment option. User will be directed to the respective payment gateway option to provide appropriate details against the prompt.
Select payment option at payment gateway and pay your bill amount.
After completing the screen prompt, please use the respective option to pay online.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

User shall pay online using the following portals

Rajasthan Discom web self-service – link for online portal. Please follow as per screen prompt to reach the next screen.
In the given page, user shall select option provided on the left hand side of the screen to pay bill.

please use the following link to reach e-mitra portal. Link for portal: online portal link
In the given page, please select electricity from the drop down menu of “Avail Services”.
A popup screen prompts user to select / enter details prompted for. (service type, K No, Mobile number, email id).
After completion of prompted details, please hit “Submit” to reach the next page.
User gets details of his electricity bill. If details are ok, then hit respective option to reach the subsequent screen to reach the payment page.
User should be selecting proper payment option. User will be directed to the respective payment gateway option to provide appropriate details against the prompt.
Select payment option at payment gateway and pay your bill amount.
After completing the screen prompt, please use the respective option to pay online.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Mobile App - JVVNN (Jaipur electricity mobile App)

This app can be downloaded using the Google play store. play store link
Once the app is installed, user has to login using email and pin to access the options. Use the sign up to sign for signing in.
The next page prompts for Name and K Number. Please hit submit after filling the details.
User will get the screen with options to choose, please select Pay your bill option to pay.
Once the next screen reached, please provide the prompted details and proceed for making payment using appropriate option.
Once you select the payment type, user will be directed to the respective payment gateway option for user to provide appropriate details against the prompt.
After completing the screen prompt, please use the respective option to pay online.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Mobile App - Urja Sarthi (Ajmer electricity mobile app)

Once the app is installed, user has to Sign in to access the options using mobile number and password. Use the Registration session to sign for new user.
The next page prompts for K Number. Please hit appropriate option after filling the k number for a registered user to get the next page. (For new connection, please use new connection option and proceed with appropriate option to complete)
User will get the screen with options to choose, please select Make payment option to pay.
Once the next screen reached, please provide the prompted details and proceed for making payment using appropriate option.
Once you select the payment type, user will be directed to the respective payment gateway option for user to provide appropriate details against the prompt.
After completing the screen prompt, please use the respective option to pay online.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Mobile App - JDVVNL (Jodhpur electricity mobile App):

Once the app is installed, user has to login using email and pin to access the options. Use the sign up to sign for signing in.
The next page prompts for Name and K Number. Please hit submit after filling the details.
User will get the screen with options to choose, please select Pay your bill option to pay.
Once the next screen reached, please provide the prompted details and proceed for making payment using appropriate option.
Once you select the payment type, user will be directed to the respective payment gateway option for user to provide appropriate details against the prompt.
After completing the screen prompt, please use the respective option to pay online.
Once the payment is accepted, user will get a transaction acknowledgement. Please keep it saved or printed for future reference.

Other Apps to pay:

Users shall use the private App’s to make payment of electricity bill. Please make sure with the respective department officials to confirm about these service providers to make payment.
Electricity bill can be paid through following apps Paytm, Amazon, Freecharge, Mobikwik etc,.

Other modes to pay(Billdesk / NEFT or RTGS / BBPS)

BBPS (Bharath Bill Payment System):

Use the following link to pay at your area BBPS outlet as per pin code: BBPS outlet link
1. Please select “find nearest Bharat BillPay outlet” option provided at the bottom of the page.
2. enter your pin code at the box provided and hit “Go” to reach the next page with contact details. Please follow the page to get the details of payment outlet and pay their directly

1. Please select the Respective electricity department and follow the screen prompt and proceed further to make the payment

Billdesk:

Use the following link and login using K number and password to access the payment options provided and proceed with screen prompts to complete the payment.

Apply through app

To Pay Electricity Bill, the applicant can download any type of payment app like Gpay link, Phonepe link, amazon pay link, Paytm link.
The applicant has to download the app by using the link.
First the applicant needs to completed the registration process.
For registration enter the mobile number and in registered number the applicant gets the OTP number.
Enter the OTP code and add on the bank account in the app.
For paying electricity bill, the applicant has to search for Rajasthan Electricity Board.
To link the electricity account in the app, the applicant has to enter the consumer number.
- NOTE: Format of the consumer number – “Regional code, section distribution, and service number.
And enter the name (optional), and add the registered mobile number which is given in the electricity board.
The applicant gets the monthly payment amount.
Now, the applicant has to click the “Pay” button and enter the amount.
Enter the UPI password and the payment will be processed.
There is no fee for this app.
The processing time for this procedure is within a minute.

EligibilityEdit

The individual should be a resident of the state.
Consumers are eligible to pay the electricity bill.
Every applicant has to have a meter reading to calculate consumption

FeesEdit

Electricity bills are generated with the slab rates applicable for the units consumed as per the state regulations
As a consumer, it is mandatory to pay prescribed amount as advised by respective board. (even the electricity is not consumed, each states has different default charges levied to its active consumers and the same has to be paid)

ValidityEdit

The electricity bill generated for the period has to be paid before the due date.
There will be a penalty for late payment. Authorities has the power to suspend the connection
This payment is valid for the consumed electricity units
