Procedure

To provide financial support to the poor widows of India, the widow pension scheme was introduced in India. A widow whose household is below the poverty line is eligible to get the benefits of pension scheme.
Apply In-Person for Rajasthan Vidhwa Pension Yojana :

1. To apply for Rajasthan Vidhwa Pension Yojana ,visit the Rajasthan Social Justice and Empowerment Department (SJED)

3. Get the application form from the Concerned Officer or write it on an A4 sheet.
4. Fill the application form with all the necessary details.
5. Attach all the Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section along with the form and submit it to the concerned officer in the Gram Panchayat /Municipality.
6. Pay the appropriate fees as per authorities quote.
7. You will be given an acknowledgement keep it safe for future reference.
8. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
9. If sanctioned, beneficiary shall be issued a Pension Passbook.

1. To apply for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme,visit the nearest Gram Panchayat /Municipality.

3. Get the application form from the Concerned Officer or write it on an A4 sheet.
4. Fill the application form with all the necessary details.
5. Attach all the Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section along with the form and submit it to the concerned officer in the Gram Panchayat /Municipality.

Required Documents

Documents required for Rajasthan Vidhwa Pension Yojana :

• The Aadhaar Card and a Bonafide provided by the State Government of Rajasthan.
• An Income Certificate of the applicant must be submitted.
• In case of demise of the spouse, a death certificate has to be provided.
• Also, a copy of bank account details is required for making further transactions.

• Death Certificate of Husband
• BPL Status Certificate (verifiable through Ration card)
• Aadhaar Card
•  Any of the following documents, namely:
  • Voters’ ID Card issued by Election Commission of India

  • PAN Card issued by Income Tax Department

Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria to apply for Rajasthan Vidhwa Pension Yojana:

• The scheme is meant for the Widows Left alone women who are the permanent residents of the state.
• Such applicants should hold a valid Government Identity Card.
• Only women who are above the age of eighteen are eligible to apply for Rajasthan Vidhwa Pension Yojana.
• It should also be noted that the applicant’s annual income should be lesser than INR 2,00,0000

Eligibility to apply for Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme (IGNWPS):

• The applicant must be from BPL category (with a valid BPL id)
• The applicant must be a widow.
• The applicant must be between 40-79 years of age.
• The beneficiary will get Rs 400 per month.

• It is valid forever.
