- To apply for a Learner Driver License in Rajasthan the applicant has to approach the RTO office of the area.
- Information related to the RTO offices can be obtained from the “Office and Location” Section of this page.
- You will have to submit Application in Form No.2 in front of licensing authority.
- Application form no 2 can be downloaded from following link: form no 2
- Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices at the cost of Rs.15.
- The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for driver license by reading through the eligibility criteria that has been listed out under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
- Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
- Application forms can be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that should be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
- Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
- After verification of the documents applicant will have to go through a learner test.
- A computer based multiple choice objective test is conducted and whoever correctly answers sixty percent questions put to him is declared pass.

- In order to apply for online, please follow the link : Online Portal
- Please select "Online Services" from the menu and click on "Driver License Related Services".
- You will be taken to a new screen where you have to select “Rajasthan” in the drop-down menu against “Please select the State from where the service is to be taken”.
- Once you select the State you will be redirected to the page, based on your selection Home page
- Click on apply online
- From the given options select “New Learner License”
- Fill the Applicant Details as instructed
- Upload the required Documents mentioned on this page
- Upload Photo and Signature if required (applicable for only some states)
- Pay the required fees
- Once submitted the application, go for DL Test Slot Booking online via following link: [ DL Test Slot Booking online]
- Select Learner license test sub-option from the appointment “slot booking” section
- Once you are redirected to a fresh page, submit the application with your application number and book the desired slot.
- In case you are not able to attend the booked appointment slot, cancel it online via the following link: Sarathi Home page
- From the cancel appointment drop down menu select , “Learner License Test” option
- You will be redirected to the page, where you will be asked to fill the details such as application number and date of birth along with verification code and submit to cancel your booking.
- The test of competence will be conducted by the competent authority.
- After verification of the documents applicant will have to go through a learner test.

- You have to select “Mock Test for LL’ option from the drop down menu of LL Test (STALL). You will be redirected to the page, fill the required information and continue.
- You will be redirected to the page, where you will be asked to fill the details such as name, date of birth, language and state and can log in for mock test.
- Applicant can give online test for learner license, via following link: Online test
- You have to select “online LL Test (STALL)” option from the drop down menu of LL Test (STALL). You will be redirected to the page, fill the required information and continue.
- Applicant needs to book the slot for the test. You check the availability of the slot online and book accordingly.
- Once you select the RTO you will be redirected to the page where you will be able to see a calendar which indicates the date and slot available for test. Red blocks indicates non availability, orange means open. Based on your choice and availability you can select learner license slot.

- Medical Certificate Form No. 1A: (this is mandatory for commercial vehicle license) form 1A
- Physical fitness declaration certificate: form 1
- Three copies of passport photographs.
- Driving Certificate in form-5 issued by approved Training School (Compulsory for Transport Vehicle License)
- Proof of Residence: Attested copy of any of the following
- Ration card.
- Life Insurance Policy.
- Passport.
- Aadhaar Card
- Voter Identity card.
- Pay slip issued by any office in the Central/State or a local body.
- The consent from parents in blood relation can be treated as residence proof, if parents enclose their residence proof.
- Other authentic proof acceptable by Motor Licensing Officer (MLO).
- Ration card.

- Personal details such as name, address, date of birth, place of birth.
- Educational qualification.
- Type of Indian citizenship (by birth, naturalization) along with documentation.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- A Learner Licence is an official document needed to apply for permanent driving license. The learner license certifies that the holder is learning to drive and should be accompanied with experienced driver while driving motor vehicle.
- To learn driving a motor vehicle, you must first get a Learner's License for that class of vehicle. A Learner's License legally allows you to learn driving with an experienced instructor or driver on Indian roads.
- If you hold a valid Learner's License, you can practise driving with a permanent Driving License holder. This will help you polish your driving skills before you take your vehicle out.

- Applications for a provisional driving licence can be made from the age of 16. Valid for driving a moped or gearless motorcycle (with a capacity of up to 50 cc) from aged 16, and a car from aged 18 or older to drive any other type of vehicle. The common "All India Permit" allows the licensee to drive throughout the country. - After passing a driving test, the provisional licence may be surrendered in exchange for a full Indian licence for the relevant kind of vehicle. Full car licences allow use of mopeds, motorcycles and cars.

- A Driving Licence can be used as a proof for Identity. A modern photo of the driving licence can also serve many of the purposes of an identity card in non-driving contexts (proof of identity (e.g. when opening a bank account) or age (e.g. when applying for a mobile connection).
