Apply In Person
- To Apply for the Temporary Interruption Fund (TIF), the applicant has to approach Services Australia link Screen Australia link
- NOTE: Enter the postcode and click the “Locate” button to find the nearest office.
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The fee is calculated at 2% of the TIF coverage provided for production.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- Then the application will be processed further and decide on whether to provide funding support for the event.
- The applicant may be asked to provide additional information or to participate in an interview or presentation to further explain his/her proposal.
- For further process, the applicant has to follow the instruction given by the officer.
- This entire process can be completed within 3 weeks or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
NOTE:
- TIF is a capped $50 million fund. If the funds are exhausted, no further support can be provided to productions.

EligibilityEdit
To be eligible for the TIF, productions must meet certain criteria, such as:
- Be a feature film, documentary, or television drama produced in Australia
- Have a significant Australian creative and/or production involvement
- Have commenced principal photography or production
- Experience an interruption due to a qualifying event that was unforeseeable and beyond the control of the production
