Quebec - Apply for Driver License for Three Wheeled Motorcycle(Class 6E)

- Take a driving course.
- Once you have passed the course, you are required to mail a copy of the attestation issued by the driving school to:

Qubec (Qubec) G1K 8J6 - The SAAQ will then mail you a collection notice indicating the amount of the insurance contribution you are required to pay and a Class 6E attestation, Be sure to keep this attestation with your Class 5 driver's license. It is valid for the same period as your Class 5 driver's license.

EligibilityEdit
You must meet the following criteria:
- hold a valid Class 5 driver's license (passenger vehicle) and;
- pass one of the following courses with a motorcycle driving school recognized by the Association qubcoise du transport et des routes (AQTR):
- the Road Safety Education Program Operating a Three-Wheeled Motorcycle; or
- the motorcycle driving course.

Need for the DocumentEdit
In Qubec, a Class 6E license authorizes its holder to operate a three-wheeled motorcycle, not equipped with a sidecar, with the following characteristics:
- It must be designed so that the three wheels remain in contact with the ground when operated and that the wheels remain perpendicular to the road surface when turning;
- It must have seating on which all occupants must sit astride;
- Its frame must not partially or completely enclose the driver and passenger, other than the part of the vehicle in front of the driver and the seat backrest.
The Class 6E license also authorizes its holder to operate any two-wheeled motorcycle on which is mounted a converter kit made of a metal structure as well as a pair of auxiliary wheels aligned with the rear wheel axis of the motorcycle.
