Procedure

Apply Online

1. Visitors on a business visa may submit a request online to extend their business visa by visiting the Ministry of Interior’s (MOI) website.
2. The first step is to log in with your smartcard to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) by clicking on the MOI Services tab and selection the E-services option.
3. If you do not have an account with the MOI e-portal, you have to register for the services using your smart card.
4. Once logged in, click on "Visa Services” option on the dashboard then click on the "Extend Visa” link.
5. Fill in the required information to make the request. These include:-

   • The Visa number
   • Passport number
   • Select your nationality
   • Enter the verification code from the picture or audio

6. Select the required extension period
7. Proceed to pay the required fees online via credit card or debit card.

   • After making the online payment, the system will display a message confirming that the transaction is completed successfully; it will also display a visa extension receipt for each selected visa for extension.

8. Confirm that the information you have provided is correct, then click on the “Extend” button to submit your application.
9. This will cause your application to be submitted for approval by the Ministry of Interior.
10. Once extension approval is granted, you will be notified via SMS. The extended visa will be available for printing on the MOI website.

Apply In-Person

1. An individual can apply for a business visa extension in-person by visiting the Ministry of Immigration or any Ministry of Interior Service centers to make the application.
2. Here will be issued with an application for “Business visa extension” form to fill and submit. The form can be obtained from the Ministry of Immigration offices or the Ministry of Interior Service centers. The form can also be obtained by visiting the Ministry of Interior’s (MOI) website through the following link.: Business Visa Extension Application
3. Fill in the required information and attach the required documents for submission. These include.

   • Valid Passport
   • Business visa
   • Return ticket.
   • Copy of the document that proves the profession.

4. Present the documents at the counter and pay the required fees

   • A fee of QR200 per month applies.

5. Department’s officials will go through your application and if everything is in order they will begin processing the Business Visa extension

   • All the required condition should be met before submitting the application form.
   • The department will not be responsible for any delay resulting from failure to meet these conditions.

6. The application process may take a period of one to two days to complete.
7. Once ready the applicant will be notified to visit the Ministry of Immigration offices or any Ministry of Interior Service centres offices to collect the extended tourist visa.
