Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. Companies and institutions operating in Qatar may submit a request to the Public Guards Department at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) to renew their license to provide private security services.
2. The first step is to approach the Public Guards Department offices where you will be issued with a Security Services Licensing Renewal Form to fill and submit. The application form can be also obtained from the MOI Website or can be accessed using the following link: Security Services Licensing Renewal Form and filled before you visit the Public Guards Department offices.
3. Fill in all the required information correctly, print the completed form, and then attach the required documents. These include:

   • Copy of pervious security license held
   • Completed application form
   • List of security services to be offered

4. The Public Guards Department officials will go through the application to determine if everything is in order. If everything is in order your application will be approved.
5. The processing time is usually for five days. However, the processing time may vary depending on the accuracy of the information you gave in your application form
6. Once the processing is complete the applicant will be issued with a renewed license for Security Services.

• Download and fill out the paper form and select the required security services the company will provide.
• Review the conditions on security services license renewal included in the form.
• Attach a copy of the commercial license and the previous license held
• Submit the completed application form to the Public Guards Department offices at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) for review and processing.
