Qatar - Reactivate Residence Permit Based on QID

ProcedureEdit
- This service enables you to reactivate the expired residence permit for persons whose residences were cancelled, but they still exist in the country within the legal period.
- The service is available for Qataris, residents, companies and organizations holding smart QID Cards.
Apply Online
- To make an application to reactivate a cancelled residence permit based on QID. The first step is to log in with your smartcard to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) by clicking on the MOI Services tab and selection the E-services option.
- If you do not have an account with the MOI e-portal, you have to register for the services using your smart card.
- Once logged in, click on "Residency Services” Tab on the dashboard then click on the “Reactivate RP by QID Number” link.
- Enter the QID number of the person whose residence is to be activated, then click on "Next" Button.
- Enter the person's data, then click on "Next" Button.
- Select the delivery method for the new residence permit.
- In the case of personal transactions, the user will determine the method of receiving the new residence permit (either by personally going to the Expatriates Affairs Department or via Qatar Post).
- In case of enterprise transactions, the new residence permit will be delivered by Qatar Post
- Click on "Pay Fees", and pay the applicable fees using a debit or credit card.
- The user will pay using the credit card in the case of personal transactions. In the case of enterprise transactions, payment can be made either by credit card or bank transfer (from account to account). The delivery fees (if any) must be paid.
- After successful payment, a receipt will be shown to the applicant. Print the acknowledgement receipt for reference.
- You will be notified through SMS when the reactivation has been approved.
- Once approved, your reactivated Residence Card will be delivered to your preferred location through the postal service or you can pick it up from the Expatriates Affairs Department offices on the same day.

FeesEdit
- A fee of QR 520 is charged for the residence permit reactivation,
- An extra QR20 in case of selecting Qatar Post for delivery.
ValidityEdit
- The residence permit validity will be one year or three years depending on the validity period of residency.
