Procedure

• Drivers can file online reports of minor traffic accidents and upload photos of the damage in both cars. This service saves the time of waiting for the traffic car arrival and makes no need for both drivers to visit the Traffic Dept. in minor accidents.
  

Apply Online

1. One can get a road accident report by applying to the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of Interior.
2. This can be done online by visiting the Ministry of Interior’s website through the following link.
3. Once you have opened the website’s page click on the MOI Services tab on the dashboard and navigate to the Inquires section then click on it.
4. This will lead you to the next page displaying MOI Services, where you have to click on the “Traffic Inquiries” Tab to go the next page
5. Here click on the “Traffic Report” icon to access the online application form.
6. In the “Report Type” section select “Road Accident Report”
7. Fill in the required information. These include:-

   • The incident number (indicate if it’s a new incident or case)
   • Driver Number or Plate Number
   • Type of vehicle
   • The verification code from the picture or audio

8. Confirm that the information you provided is correct, then click on the “inquire” button.
9. A prompt message confirming the incident will be displayed.
10. A notification SMS (text message) will be sent to you asking to wait for another message to complete the procedures
11. After reviewing the request by the traffic investigators, an SMS will be sent to both parties with instructions to go to your insurance company for vehicle repair approval.
12. The road accident report can be printed from MOI's official website.
13. The processing time is immediate and the service is free of charge.

Through Metrash2

1. In case of minor road accidents, you do not require to visit traffic investigation sections. Instead, you can complete the accident registration process through Metrash 2 Application.
2. The first step is to take four photographs of the vehicles at the scene of the accident. Make sure one of the photos shows the showing number plates of the vehicles.
3. Proceed to move your vehicles from the accident scene and park away from the road.
4. Ensure that the location service of your mobile is enabled.
5. Sign in to Metrash2 and select “Traffic” to go to the next page
6. Once there click on “Traffic Accident” then select “Accident Registration”
7. Enter the required details of both vehicles. These include:

   • Vehicle No.
   • QID Number of both parties
   • Mobile Number of both parties

8. Attach photos of both vehicles and then check on “ I agree on the validity of the data”.
9. Click on “send” to submit the report for traffic investigation.
10. Confirm your submission by clicking “Yes”
11. A notification SMS (text message) will be sent to you asking to wait for another message to complete the procedures
12. After reviewing the accident photos by traffic investigators, an SMS will be sent to both parties with instructions to go to your insurance company for vehicle repair approval.
13. The road accident report can be printed from MOI's official website, or through the insurance company concerned.
14. The processing time is immediate and the service is free of charge.

• The details of the accident would be passed on to the insurance company through an electronic link.

Need for the Document

• One needs a road accident report to be issued with a vehicle repair permit.
• One also needs a road accident report to be able to make claims with insurance companies.

Information which might help

• If the responsibility is clear in the accident, the investigator will complete the report and register the accident. SMSs will be sent to both parties to print insurance and repairing reports (for the harmed party) through MoI website by using the sent accident number.
• If the accident requires further investigation, the investigator will report that the investigation is not complete. SMSs will be sent to both parties to head to Traffic Dept. to complete the investigation.
