Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for exchanging public land for another, you should visit the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) office in your region, please view the contact details and location maps of the municipalities through this link: Link
2. Prepare the required supporting document for your application as mention in the “Required Documents” below
3. Download the application form for switching land: Link and fill the section about “Switch Land (Government to Government)” and all also download the acknowledgement form: Link and fill it accordingly.
4. Attach all the required documents including both forms in a single fill and visit the municipality premises in you region to submit the complete application the complete application to the Land and Survey Department customer service desk at the urban planning sector
5. The Land and Survey Department will assess the application and approve your request, sign the forms and consult with the involved partners like the real-estate department
6. Then they will perform the exchange once a land is available for exchange and update the data in their system and then produce new document for the exchanged land and issue them to you as the new land owner
