Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To authenticate commercial documents, applicant has to visit the consular affairs department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office.

3. Applicant has to visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and obtain the application form from the respective officer.
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Pay the appropriate fees and submit the application form to the respective officer in the legalization section at the administration building of the consular affairs department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After verification process, the applicant will be later requested to collect the authenticated commercial documents on a specified date.

Required Documents

1. Duly filled application form with seal and signature is mandatory.
2. Copy of applicant Qatar ID card.
3. Copy of commercial registration.
4. Copy of commercial establishment.
5. Copy of commercial license.

Eligibility

• Individuals who have valid Qatar ID card are eligible to apply.
• Companies who have valid commercial registration and commercial establishment are eligible to apply.

Fees

• Fees of commercial documents authentication are as follows:

1. Certificate of Origin: QR150.
2. Packing List (Manifest): QR150.
3. Business Contracts: QR150.

• Concerning the commercial invoices:

1. From QR1 to QR5,000: applicable fees are QR100.
2. From QR5,001 to QR15,000: applicable fees are QR200.
3. From QR15,001 to QR50,000: applicable fees are QR500.
4. From QR50,001 to QR100,000: applicable fees are QR900.
5. From QR100,001 to QR150,000: applicable fees are QR1,300.
6. From QR150,001 to QR250,000: applicable fees are Q1,800.
7. From QR250,001 to QR500,000: applicable fees are QR2,200.
8. From QR500,001 to QR1000,000: applicable fees are QR3,000.
9. 1000,001 and more: fees are collected at 4% of the invoice value in QAR.

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.

Instructions

• Legalization Section at the Administration Building of the Consular Affairs Department working hours from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm only.
• The Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or any of its accredited branches authenticates the seal or signature of Qatar Chamber or the seal and signature of an accredited ministry or an organization accredited by the Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
• The Consular Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its branches are not responsible for the content of the document, yet they abstain from authenticating any document that violates the applicable regulations in the State of Qatar.
