Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for general or special power of attorney, applicant has to visit the authentication department at the Ministry of Justice office.

3. Applicant has to visit the Ministry of Justice and obtain the application form from the respective officer.
4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the authentication department in the Ministry of Justice office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
8. After verification process, general or special power of attorney will be granted.

Apply Online

1. To apply for general or special power of attorney through online, visit the following link: online portal

2. If you already have an account, please login using the credentials or if you are a new user you need to click applicable option to create new account.
3. After successful login, please select “General Power of Attorney for Lawsuits” option from the Authentications list and Select applicant (First Authorized Party - Second Party), then enter the expiry date of the personal identification document.
4. Then select the capacity from the “Capacities” list, enter the proof of identity for the capacity and then click on “Add” button.
5. Select forms, enter all the mandatory and optional details, and choose the form that includes all the additional clauses that were agreed upon then click on “Add” button.
6. In the next page, you can upload the required documents mentioned in the required documents section below then click on applicable option to submit the request.
7. Once you complete this, you will be redirected to a screen in which you can review your information.
8. After reviewing your information, pay the appropriate fees through your debit or credit card.
9. After successful payment, now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
10. After verification process, general or special power of attorney will be granted.

Eligibility

• Qatar is who have Qatar ID card and non-Qataris who have passport are eligible to apply.
• Companies who have commercial registration and establishment ID card are eligible to apply.

Fees

Applicable fees are as follows:

• Three copies: QR100
• Any additional copy: QR50

Validity

• Applicant shall submit a request to the authentication department at the Ministry of Justice to authenticate a general power of attorney between two parties for lawsuit-related matters.
