- Gulf Co-operative Council (GCC) residents of approved professions and those accompanying them may obtain a one-month GCC Resident Visit Visa on arrival or through a Qatari embassy.
- The visa is renewable for an additional three months.
- Applicants should carry proper documentation proving their profession when applying for and using the visa.
Apply In-Person
Issue Visa for GCC Residents through Foreign Ministry
- This can be done by submitting an application for the visit visa through Qatar Embassy, Consulate or Diplomatic mission abroad (in your home country).
- GCC Residents can apply for a visit visa In-person by visiting the to the Qatar Embassy, Consulate or Diplomatic mission in their home country.
- Here the GCC Residents will be issued with a visit visa application form to fill and submit.
- The GCC Residents needs to attach the required documents to the application form. These documents include the following.
- (i). GCC residence permits valid for at least 3 months.
- (ii). Original passport with 3 months validity.
- (iii). Passport Photo of GCC resident
- (iv). Proof of profession.
- Present the documents at the counter and pay any applicable fees. The fee details are explained in the “fee” section of this page.
- The consulates officials will go through your application and if everything is in order they will begin processing the Visit Visa extension
- The application process is immediate and the visit visa is issued immediately to the GCC Resident.
Note
- Make sure you carry a copy of the approved visa and carry it with you when you travel within Qatar.
Apply Online
- The first step is to log in with your smartcard to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) by clicking on the MOI Services tab and selection the E-services option.
- If you do not have an account with the MOI e-portal, you have to register for the services using your smart card.
- Once logged in, click on "Visa Services” menu on the dashboard then click on the “Visit Visa for GCC Residents” link.
- On the next page, enter the required information, such as name, birth date and place, passport details, phone number and address, and click “Add” button.
- On the next page, enter your email address if you want to receive a soft copy of the visa application receipt
- Review the information to ensure that everything is okay, click on “Confirm” button.
- After this, pay the required due fees using a debit or credit card.
- After successful payment, a receipt will be shown to the applicant. Print the acknowledgement receipt for reference.
- Your Visit Visa will be processed immediately and can be printed from your e-portal page.

- Make sure you print a copy of the approved visa and carry it with you when you travel within Qatar.

- The applicant should have a GCC residence permit valid for at least 3 months.
- The applicant should have an Original passport with at least 3 months validity.
- The accompanying person shall be under the personal sponsorship of the resident and shall have a residence permit validity of at least 3 months.

- The visa can be obtained on paying QR100 as fee through credit card or debit card.
- The visa can also be extended by another three months by paying an extension fee of QR100 for every additional month
- A penalty of QR200 will be levied for each day of stay after expiry.

- The Gulf Cooperation Council, is a regional intergovernmental political and economic union consisting of all Arab states of the Persian Gulf except Iraq, namely: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
- Visa for GCC resident is issued immediately to all nationalities after entering the applicant’s information through an automated system.
- Visa for GCC resident is valid for three months from the date of issuance, and visa holder shall enter the country before the visa expiry date.
