ProcedureEdit

  • An airport entry card is granted to the staff of Hamad International Airport (HIA) and anyone who has direct business in HIA. The permit is also given to ministries, agencies, institutions, and companies contracting with HIA management to execute a specific job.

Apply In-Person

  1. To apply for an Airport Entry Permit an applicant has to approach the Ministry of Interior (MOI) offices at the airport, in person, to make the application.
  2. The first step is to fill out an online request for an airport entry permit request, then print it out. The application form can be obtained from the MOI Website or can be accessed using the following link : Airport Entry Permit Request
  3. Enter all the required information correctly, print the completed application form, and then attach the required documents. These include:
    • For Qataris: Copy of QID
    • For residents: Copy of passport and residence permit
    • Recent personal photo
    • Letter from the employer
    • Any other documents as prescribed by the MOI officials.
    • Submit the completed application form and the required documents to the MOI offices for processing and approval.
  4. Proceed to pay the application fee which varies with the period you wish to hold the permit. This period may vary from one day, one month to one year. The fee details are as follows:
    (i). Permit for one day: QR10
    (ii). Permit for one month: QR50
    (iii). Permit for one year: QR300
  5. The processing time is usually immediate. However, the processing time may vary depending on the accuracy of the information you gave in your application form
  6. Once the application has been processed by the MOI officials an airport entry card will be issued to the applicant granting them permission of entry.


Note:

  • Signature and stamp of the authorized signatory, according to the establishment card issued by Expatriate Affairs
  • The auditor bears legal responsibility and delay the transaction in case of filling in incorrect data
  • The companies operating on the Hamad International Airport campus are fully responsible for the security clearances that their employees possess in the event that they are lost or misused
  • All companies working in Hamad Airport premises are responsible for their staff’s permits in case they are lost or misused.
