Procedure

Apply Online

1. One can make an application to add or update the National Address for individuals online.
2. The first step is to log in with your smartcard to the e-services portal of the Ministry of Interior (MOI) by clicking on the MOI Services tab and selection the E-services option.
3. If you do not have an account with the MOI e-portal, you have to register for the services using your smart card. Select “National Address” then click on “National Address for Individuals”.
4. Click on the “Service Options” tab to display the available options of the National Address for Individuals service. You can select either of the following to :
   • Register a National address
   • Update a National address
   • Register National Address for Newborns
5. Select “Register National Address” to:
   • Add your home address and that of your family members (This is available only for your children - boys or girls - under 18 years old),
   • Add a work address (in case of Qatari citizens),
   • Employer address (in case of residents, and Update abroad home address (optional).
6. Select “Update National Address” to :
   • Update the home address of an individual or family members (This is available only for children - boys or girls - under 18 years old),
   • Update work address (in the case of Qatar citizens only) and
   • Update abroad home address (optional).
7. Select “Register National Address for Newborns” if the individual - a citizen or resident - wants to add new family members, who do not have a previously registered home national address, to the registered home address of the individual.
8. Click on “Next” and fill in all the required information.
9. After filling in the required information click on the “Submit” button. This will lead you to the next page where you can review the information which you provided. If everything is okay click on the “Confirm Submission” button to submit.
10. This will automatically register the applicant or newborn to the national address, add a family member to the national address or update the national address.
11. The processing time is immediate.

Apply In-Person

• You can also make this applicatoion by visiting the Ministry of interior Offices.
• Here you will be issued with a National Address for individuals Form to fill and complete. You can also fill, then print out the application form from the MOI Website through the following link: National Address for individuals Form and filled beforehand.
• Fill in the required information correctly, print the completed form and then attach the required documents.
• Submit the completed application form and required documents to the Ministry of interior offices for verification.
• The Ministry of interieor officials will go through the application and make the neccesary updateds.
• The processing time is usually three days.
• No fee is charged for this application

• This service enables individuals to add or update a home address to themselves or their family members below 18 years old.
• The service also enables citizens to add or update their work address or add their abroad home addresses, whereas residents can add the work addresses of their employers.
