Apply In-Person:

  1. To add electricity meter in existing buildings, applicant has to visit the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) office.

  3. Obtain the application form from the respective officer at KAHRAMAA office.
  4. Now complete the form with necessary information and make sure you have all the documents in hand that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. After filling the form, attach the documents mentioned in the required documents section below with the completed application form.
  6. Check the application form and then submit it to the respective officer in the KAHRAMAA office. The address is mentioned in the office locations & contacts section below.
  7. Now the authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  8. After verification process, electricity meter in existing buildings will be added.



Apply Online

  1. To add electricity meter in existing Buildings through online, visit the following link: portal
  2. If you already have an account, please enter your email id and password then click on “Log In” button.
  3. If you don’t have an account, click on “Don’t have an account” option.
  4. Now complete the form with necessary information and click on “Register” button.
  5. After successful registration, click appropriate option to go back to the login page or click the following link to reach the login page: online portal
  6. After successful login, please select “Electricity” from basic service options. Then select “Additional Meter” option from service type. Then enter the meter number and owner QID/CR number and click on “Next” button.
  7. Follow the screen instructions to complete the registration.
  8. After that, authorities will verify your application and validate the submitted documents.
  9. After verification process, electricity meter in existing buildings will be added.

Required DocumentsEdit

  • Copy of applicant Qatari ID card.
  • Copy of lease contract, electricity number and letter of guarantee (in case the leaseholder or the owner doesn’t submit the form in person).
  • In case of connection requests to commercial or industrial buildings, the applicant should submit the commercial registration, establishment ID and authorized person signature on the form in addition to the official seal.
  • In case of connection requests to residential buildings, a copy of QID and marriage contract (only for Qataris) should be submitted.
