Qatar - Abrogate a Contract

- You may apply online to the Documentation Department at the Ministry of Justice to abrogate a contract governing a previous agreement between two parties. This contract has to be kept and earlier documented by the department.
Apply Online
- An applicant can apply for the Abrogation of the Contract online by visiting the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) online Portal SAK, your username and password on Hukoomi through the following link to make the application.
- Login into the SAK portal using your username and password on Hukoomi.
- If you have not registered for Hukoomi e-Government Portal, you have to register so as to get the username and password to access this service. You can register for an account through the following steps.
- Click on the “Register” link on the top right hands side of the homepage to begin creating your account.
- Fill in the required fields (personal number and mobile number)
- Click on the box next to the sentence 'I'm not a robot' and a group of questions will appear for you to answer
- Click on the “Receive Code by SMS” button in order to send the code to your mobile
- Enter the code you received on your mobile
- Click on the “Next” button in order to complete your registration
- Fill in all the required fields
- Click the box next to the sentence 'I'm not a robot' and a group of questions will appear for you to answer
- Click on the “Register” button in order to complete the registration process
- Once logged in select the “Authentication Services” option, then select the “Signature Authentication Services” option from the documentation department services, and then select the “Abrogate Contract” option from the transaction type list.
- Proceed to select the “first party” option. Enter the first party (applicant) data and then enter the expiry date of the personal identification document, then click on "Save".
- Choose the capacity from the “Capacities” list (Authorized Signatory, Attorney, Partner…etc) and enter its details of proof of identity of the capacity, then click on the “Save” button.
- Select the forms and enter required information, then click on “Add”
- Attach the following required documents.
- Personal identification (copy of QID/ passport) for natural person
- Copy of valid commercial registration, establishment ID and commercial license (for juridical person)
- Copy of valid power of attorney, in case the signature on the document is based on a power of attorney
- Other documents (determination of heirs, letter from the General Authority for Minor Affairs, entities’ approvals)
- Write the terms of contract in the template text.
- Once done click on the “Submit” to officially submit your application. The system sends an SMS to the parties of the transaction clarifying that the transaction has been received and it is to be approved or rejected.
- If the application is approved, the applicant will receive communication instructing him to make payment for the Abrogation of the Contract
- Visit the Authentication Department of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to make the payment for the abrogation a contract. The transaction may as well be finished by visiting any the single window OSS branches affiliated to the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) to make the Payment.
- The fees charged to abrogate the contract are as follows
- Three copies of the contract: QR100
- Each party of the contract ; QR50
- Any additional copy of the contract: QR50
- After making the payment, submit the receipt to the authorities. The authorities will proceed to print the documented contract and hand it over to the applicant. This process usually takes a period of one to two days if everything is in order.
Apply In-Person
- An applicant can apply for the Abrogation of the Contract by making an application with the Ministry of Justice (MoJ). This can be done by visiting the Authentication Department of the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and making the application. The contact information of theMOJ Headquarters can be found in the “Office location and Contacts” section of this page.
- The application can also be done by visiting the single window OSS branches affiliated to MOJ and making the application.
- Once there make a request for the Abrogation of the. The authorities will ask you to provide some required information and documents so as to make the authentication.
- Provide the required information and documents to the authorities. These documents include.
- Personal identification (copy of QID/ passport) for natural person
- Copy of valid commercial registration, establishment ID and commercial license (for juridical person)
- Copy of valid power of attorney, in case the signature on the document is based on a power of attorney
- Other documents (determination of heirs, letter from the General Authority for Minor Affairs, entities’ approvals)
- Now the authorities will verify your request and validate the submitted documents.
- Proceed to make the payment for the authentication process. The amount of fee charged is as follows.
- Three copies of the contract: QR100
- Each party of the contract ; QR50
- Any additional copy of the contract: QR50
- After making the payment submit the payment receipt to the concerned authorities.
- After verification process, the authorities will Abrogate the Contract and hand them over to the applicant.
- This process normally takes a period of one day.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- This service enables Companies and individuals to have a contract abrogated by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ).
Information which might helpEdit
- The system identifies the applicant through logging in.
- In case the transaction is reapplication, the system will display the rejected application data, then the user will have to review and modify the data and resend it in no more than 30 days from the rejection date or, otherwise, it will be canceled.
- In case the transaction is “complete transaction”, the system will display the “incomplete” application data, and the user will have to review the data then complete the application and send it. In case the application is not completed within 30 days, the transaction will be canceled.
- In case the application has been rejected before, the system will issue a new number for the transaction.
- After logging in and selecting the type of transaction, the system will display the applicant data (identity proof type, identity proof number, card expiry date) through the user's registration data as a first party. The system is not allowed to modify or cancel the first party's data registered in login data.
- No data shall be displayed through linkage with other entities.
- The party's data is verified through QID number - expiry date.
- The applicant must be a resident/citizen and registered in Hukoomi database, and must be verified as being alive.
- The first party in a transaction can be more than one person.
- The applicant cannot be repeated with the same identity or the same identity proof data.
- It has to be confirmed the applicant is not on the forbidden from disposition list.
- It is not allowed to amend in the selected forms or add text to the subject in case of the automatic date proof number, and, consequently, not to select forms.
- The applicant should be the one who is mainly concerned with the main transaction related to the certificate.
- The status of the main document must be shown (as the contract may be abolished, and so a massage must be shown to clarify this).
- A transaction can be completed through visiting any of the single window OSS branches of the ministry.
- The transaction may be completed as well by visiting any of the single window OSS branches affiliated to the ministry or through SAK Mobile App.
