Procedure

Apply In-Person:

8. A technician will visit the premises as per the address mentioned in the application.
9. He will check the meter for the fault. If the problem is persistent, the electricity meter will be removed. Then the electricity meter will be sent to department lab for checking.
10. Applicant shall wait till the mentioned period to get the meter or can get new electricity meter based on the department’s decision.
11. The fees and payment depends on the respective electricity board and respective state.
12. Generally, the processing time for this procedure takes 15-30 days.

1. Applicant can file a complaint to the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) by navigating to this link
2. The applicant has to make sure that all the required documents are in hand to apply online. If you would like to know about the documents that are required for this procedure.
3. On the given page, enter the “Complainant Name”, “Contact No” and click on “Send OTP” button which is highlighted in “Red”.
4.  Enter the OTP and click on “Verify OTP” button which is highlighted in “Red”.
5. After the complaint is submitted the fuse man will visit for the inspection of the incorrect EB meter from the local or centralized location.
6. The department will inform to the consumer to either collect the incorrect meter until which the consumer needs to wait until further notice from the department.
