Punjab - Apply to get Tenant Verification

Apply In-Person:
- To apply for a Tenant Verification in Punjab, get the Tenant Verification form from the nearest Saanjh Kender of your District.
- You can also download it online. Separate forms are available online for Locals and Residents of other District States.
- Download your preferred Tenant Verification form from the Link and print the form: Application Form
- Fill the required details of the Tenant and Landlord.
- Attach the Required Documents and Passport size photographs.
- Duly sign the form and submit the form at the nearest Saanjh Kender of your District. Find Your Saanjh Kender
- Pay the processing fee of Rs.200.
- Receive the acknowledgement receipt and keep it safe for further reference.
- Visit the Saanjh Kender to get the report once it is ready.

- 3 Recent Passport size photographs of applicant.
- Proof of Permanent address of applicant.
- Description of family i.e. Father, Mother, Spouse, Brother & Sister of applicant.
- Any one Photo Id proof of identity & Residence of landlord of applicant: Driving Licence, Pan Card, Voter Card, Passport, Aadhar Card, Ration Card, Bank Pass Book.

- Terrorists and Criminals usually try to rent a place with forged documents.
- Registering a Tenant Verification would ensure that you are renting out your building to someone who is not troublesome.
Information which might helpEdit
- To prevent crime, the Police of Punjab has asked the Landlords to make their Tenants register for Tenant Verification.
- When one applies for a Tenant Verification, the police runs a complete background check on the Tenant and their details are stored with the police. This protects the Tenant from involving in any criminal activities in the near future, since their records are stored with the police.
- Landlords could be booked for renting out a property to a terrorist or a criminal without prior Tenant Verification.
