Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for Hospital License (Open a Hospital) in India, the applicant has to approach National Health Authority (Department of Health) link
  2. An application form will be proved to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to decide the type of hospital, such as a general hospital, a specialty hospital, or a super-specialty hospital, and its size and location.
  6. The applicant has to register the hospital as a legal entity under the Companies Act or the Trusts Act or the Societies Registration Act.
  7. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  8. The applicant has to pay the prescribed fee as per mentioned by the concerned officer.
  9. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  10. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  11. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  12. The concerned officer will inspect the Hospital to ensure safety measures if everything is found to be okay.
  13. Once the process gets completed, the concerned officer will issue a license for the Hospital.
  14. This entire process can be completed within 30-40 days or as per the timeline the respective department authority advised.

  1. To Apply for Hospital License (Open a Hospital) in India, the applicant has to make the application online via link
  2. The applicant has to fill in the information regarding the hospital (hospital name, hospital registration number, and accreditation).
  3. The applicant has uploaded all the required documents.
  4. After completing the step the applicant can skip the office use-only step.
  5. The applicant had to enter the hospital’s address details.
  6. Next, the applicant has to fill in the help desk hospital details.
  7. The applicant has to select the specialties and Ayush available in the hospital.
  8. The applicant has to select the facilities available in the hospital and the insurance facilities.
  9. The applicant has to enter the miscellaneous facilities.
  10. After completing the process the applicant has to click on the “Submit” button.
  11. The applicant has to pay the fee online after completing the process.
  12. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  13. The concerned officer will inspect the Hospital to ensure safety measures if everything is found to be okay.
  14. Once the process gets completed, the concerned officer will issue a license for the Hospital.
  15. This entire process can be completed within 30-40 days or as per the timeline the respective department authority advised.
