Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for Fire Permit or License in person, the applicant has to contact the Forests, Fish and Wildlife Office nearest to their location.

3. The applicant has to contact the office as applicable. The official may require the applicant to visit their office.
4. While visiting the office, the applicants should carry the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Visit the office and approach the relevant official who is responsible of receiving applications for Fire Permit.
6. The official will direct the applicant to complete the respective application for obtaining the Fire Permit.
7. The applicant has to complete the application with required details in respective fields under each section and submit it to the official with the required documents.
8. The service is free and the applicant is not required to pay anything for the Fire Permit. Then, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
9. Within 24 – 48 hours, upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the Fire Permit.

1. To apply for Fire Permit or License online, the applicant has to visit the following Apply Online Link
2. Visit the link and the Domestic Burning Permit Application will be displayed with respective sections and fields.
3. Complete each section by filling it with required details under respective fields. Complete the first section and click “Next Page” button.
4. In the next section, provide the additional information, click the disclaimers check box and click “Preview” button to preview the application.
5. Check everything and click “Submit” button. Confirmation of application submission will be displayed in the next page.
6. The applicant can print it by clicking the “Print” button, if needed. Then, an email confirmation will be sent to the provided email address.
7. The service is free and the applicant is not required to pay anything for the Fire Permit. Then, the submitted application and attached documents will be assessed and verified.
8. Within 24 – 48 hours, upon completion of the assessment and verification, the applicant will be intimated through phone or email to collect the Fire Permit.

Eligibility

• Land owner, whose land is located inside the Forest Protection Area, can apply.
• An authorized representative can also apply, on behalf of the land owner.

Fees

• The service is free and the applicant is not required to pay anything for the Fire Permit.

Validity

• The permit is usually issued for a period of five to ten years.
