Apply In-Person:
- To apply for Prince Edward Island in person, the applicant has to visit any nearest Access PEI location.
- Address and contact details of the Access PEI locations can be found in the following Contact link
- First, the applicant has to call the following toll-free number 1-877-569-0546 and inform that he/she wants to obtain Social Assistance.
- There will an official in-charge on the other end who will receive all the information about the applicant and their family.
- He/she assess whether the applicant is eligible for the Assistance by gathering information about the applicant’s family and total income.
- If eligible, the official will schedule an appointment for the applicant to visit the office and complete the application process.
- Make sure that all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page, are available.
- Visit the office on the scheduled date at scheduled time and meet the official.
- Then, complete an application for the Social Assistance and submit it to the official along with the required documents.
- Within few days, the official in-charge will complete assessing the submitted information.
- If the application has been approved, the applicant will be informed about that through the email address or mobile number they provided.
- If not, they will be informed about the disapproval and the corresponding reasons for the disapproval.
- The applicant can also contact the office where he/she applied, regarding the status of the application.
