- To Apply for an ERC Certificate of Compliance, the applicant has to approach the ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION link
- The applicant has to download the application forms from the following link,link
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned office email Id - [email protected]
- The fee details for this procedure are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
- The applicant has to visit the office to get the certificate.
- The entire process for the Commission’s advice of its action is within thirty (30) days for PEZA-registered entities and sixty (60) days for all other applicants.

- Certificates of Compliances are issued by the ERC in favor of a person or entity to operate a power plant or other facilities used in the generation of electricity under Section 6 of Republic Act No. 9136 or the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001 (EPIRA) and Section 4 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the EPIRA.
