Apply by email:

  1. To Apply for an ERC Certificate of Compliance, the applicant has to approach the ENERGY REGULATORY COMMISSION link
  2. The applicant has to download the application forms from the following link,link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned office email Id - [email protected]
  7. The fee details for this procedure are mentioned in the “Fees” section of this page.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  12. The applicant has to visit the office to get the certificate.
  13. The entire process for the Commission’s advice of its action is within thirty (30) days for PEZA-registered entities and sixty (60) days for all other applicants.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Certificates of Compliances are issued by the ERC in favor of a person or entity to operate a power plant or other facilities used in the generation of electricity under Section 6 of Republic Act No. 9136 or the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001 (EPIRA) and Section 4 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of the EPIRA.
