Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Provident Fund Loan, the applicant has to approach the Department of Justice offices link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or the applicant can download the application form from the following link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The fee for this procedure is free of cost.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
  10. The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
  11. After successful verification the authority will issue the provident fund.
  12. The entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

EligibilityEdit

  • Applicant must be an active member for at least 12 months prior to the loan application
  • Applicant must have complied with the monthly net take home pay provisions of the applicable General Appropriations Act (GAA).
  • The loanable amount shall be limited to an amount which will not render the borrower’s NTHP to fall below the minimum requirements as prescribed by the GAA.
  • Applicant must have no pending criminal/administrative case.
  • Applicant has not incurred Leave of Absence without Pay (LWOP).
  • Applicant must have contributed at least Thirty Percent of the gross loanable amount. If the fund capital is less than 30% of the loanable amount, the balance will be deducted from the proceeds of the loan to cover the minimum requirement.
  • Applicant who has a temporary and co-terminus status of appointment can avail loan in an amount equivalent to 90% of their Capital Contribution.
  • The loan may be renewed upon payment of at least six (6) months amortization.

  • A Provident Fund is defined as a savings scheme consisting of contributions from both the employees and the employer (in monetary form from members-employees, in monetary or non-monetary form from the employers) which serve as a loan facility and provider of supplementary welfare to employees.
