Procedure

Apply In Person:

1. To Apply for the Capacity Building Program in Science and Mathematics Education, the applicant has to approach the respective Engineering college or Department of Science and Technology link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting it.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. There is no fee for this procedure.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
10. The selection process may include an examination, interview, and demonstration of teaching skills. The examination may cover general education, science, and mathematics.
11. The interview will assess your communication skills, personality, and motivation for joining the program. The demonstration of teaching skills may require you to conduct a sample lesson in science or mathematics.
12. If the applicant is selected, the applicant will be notified by the CBPSME coordinator in your region.
13. The applicant will also receive information about the schedule, venue, and other details of the training program.
14. This entire process can be completed within 1 month or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility

• The CBPSME is open to science and mathematics teachers who are currently teaching in public or private schools in the Philippines.
• Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in education, majoring in science or mathematics, and have at least three years of teaching experience.
• They should also have a good performance rating in their current school and be willing to attend the training program for the entire duration.

• There is no fee for this procedure.
