Apply Online:

  1. To Apply for CHED Financial Assistance, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
  2. The applicant has to click on “Register now” and enter their Basic Personal Information, and register and account.
  3. After registering the applicant has to login with their user id and password.
  4. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
  5. Make sure that the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Review the application and click “Submit”.
  7. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  8. Internal and external evaluation will be conducted regarding the application.
  9. The fee for this procedure is free of cost.
  10. The review process will take 15 working days provided that all the requirements have been submitted.
  11. Once the financial assistance is approved the applicant will receive email or SMS.

Required DocumentsEdit

A. Citizenship

  • A certified true copy of the Birth Certificate.


B. Academic

  • Duly certified true copy of High school report card for incoming freshmen students eligible for college (High School Graduate); and
  • Duly certified true copy of grades for Grade 11 and 1st semester of Grade 12 for graduating high school students.


C. Financial The student-applicants shall submit any of the following documents:

  • Latest Income Tax Return (ITR) of parents or guardian;
  • Certificate of Tax Exemption from Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR);
  • Certificate of Indigence either from their Barangay or Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD);
  • Case Study report from DSWD; or
  • Latest copy of contract or proof of income may be considered for children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers.

EligibilityEdit

  • The applicant should be a Filipino citizen
  • The candidate should be a senior high school graduate and/or for graduation with GWA 96% or above for full merit and for half-SSP or half-PESFA, GWA 93% to 95%.
  • The applicant’s family gross income must not exceed four Lakh rupees.
  • Applicant must not avail of any other scholarship or financial assistance program
  • An applicant must not be a graduate of any degree program.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • CHED Scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to students who are enrolled in authorized public or private Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
  • Full CHED scholars enrolled in a private university receive P20,000 for tuition and other school fees, P35,000 in allowance, and P5,000 for books every semester.

Responsibilities of a CHED Scholar

  • As a CHED scholar, the applicant must enroll in recognized priority programs of Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) or State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) / Local Universities or Colleges (LUCs) with Certificate of Program Compliance.
  • The applicant must be a regular student and maintain a GWA of at least 85% or equivalent if the applicant is a full scholar or 80% or its equivalent if a half scholar. Failure to maintain the GWA is a ground for termination of the scholarship grant. However, you can file an appeal to the CHEDRO for consideration, within 15 days from notice of the GWA.
