Peru - Renew DNI Identity Card

- You can apply to any RENIEC offices nationwide .
- For the renewal of ID of a minor, it shall be submitted accompanied by a parent or responsible charge (respondent). Guests can also request that the card be sent to another office for pick up(additional cost involved)

- In case the applicant(or respondent in case of lower DNI) can not come in person to pick up the card, you can have someone to pick it up for you by bringing the ticket to pick up the card, a power of attorney with right index fingerprint and legible signature of the owner of the ID processed (or declarant ID in case of minors). From having the above ID, you must deliver and sign the declaration of nullity of the DNI, not having it would require an affidavit of loss of ID, format that will be delivered to the agency when you pick up your new ID.

- Receipt of payment
- A current passport photo, frameless, color, white background, front view, no clothes on the head, except religious, no glasses, no retouching.
- If the ID belongs to a child, the child must be present when applying for renewal. For pickup only need to do the declarant (parent or guardian), ie who accompanied the child to perform the procedure.

ValidityEdit
DNI's issued to 17 year olds will be valid for eight years and will be blue, similar to that of adults. This document must include a number of polling stations that will be activated when the holder turns 18.

A National Identification Card is an identity card that each citizen or resident in a country is issued and required to carry and display under certain circumstances.
Peruvian Identity Cards must be renewed within 60 days prior to the expiration date of the ID.
