- Please see the heading Office Locations & Contacts section of this page which has some contact information that can be used for contacting the transport authorities to get more information about the process. But, following are the steps that should be followed for obtaining a Peruvian driver license.
- You should be 18 years old in order to get an Peruvian driver license.
- You should be able to produce your high school or university certificate. If this document is not in Spanish, it should be translated into Spanish.
- You should have a Valid Carnet de Extranjera.
- You would have to take a medical exam for driver license. This can be done with Servimedic. This test consist of blood test, eye exam, a physical exam (kind of one which shows you are not drunk) and a psychological exam. Probably all these test are to be done in Spanish.
- You should also have the receipt of payment for the written and driving exam. This has to be paid in the Scotiabank, Banco BIF or at the exam center.
- A notarized declaration of residency or a certification of work which you can get from your job.
- A Passport size photo for your driver license.
- You will have to clear a written test and a driving test, if you have cleared it, you will be given apaper which says aprobado in written and driving portions.
- You will have to present this along with all the documents that you have accumulated, so far.
- If you have cleared all the above test, you will be provided with a Peruvian driver license.

Alternatively you could contact the driving school in your area who can help you out in getting a driver license. But you will be charged for the service they provide.
