Required Documents

• Identity Card expired or transcript of the police report in the event of loss or theft
• Carnet permanent admission, awarded by the Department of Immigration
• Life and residence certificate issued by the Commissioner or by the magistrate of the jurisdiction of your residence
• Report of criminal record issued by the Department of INTERPOL authenticated by the Department of Personnel and legalized the National Police Headquarters and the Ministry of the Interior
• Certificate of criminal record issued by the Identification Department of the National Police
• Identity force in the country of origin.

The Interior Department is in charge of identity cards being issued in Paraguay. Cards can be obtained from Paraguay National Police, Identification Department. You can also renew your identity card in all departmental offices.
