Application

  1. To apply for a Business Visa/Entry Permit you will need to complete Application for Entry Permit (Form 1). You may download the form using the link provided under 'Documents to Use' section.
  2. Submit the completed form and pay the Migration Service Fee (MSF) as set out in the Entry Permit Fee Form.
  3. Provide documentary evidence as follows:
    1. Letter from business associate in PNG indicating purpose of visit, duration of stay, location of business, and proposed frequency of visits;
    2. Evidence of return/on-going ticket.

EligibilityEdit

The main conditions for the issuance of the permit are common to all applicants:

  • they must have accommodation available
  • be not adversely recorded from a security point of view
  • be of good character
  • physically and mentally healthy.


Business Visa - Classes:

  • Short-Term Single Entry: Persons entering PNG for a single visit (to attend business meetings, board meetings, conferences, conduct an exploratory business visit or participate in business negotiation).
  • Short-Term Multiple Entry: Persons entering PNG on multiple visits during a single twelve month period (to attend business meetings, board meetings, conferences, conduct an exploratory business visit or participate in business negotiation).



FeesEdit

  • Short-term Single entry: K500, payable with each visa/entry.
  • Short-term Multiple entry: K1000 will apply for each visa.



ValidityEdit

  • The Business Short-Term Single Entry Permit is valid for thirty (30) days per visa. Employment prohibited.
  • The Business Short-term Multiple Entry Permit is valid for 12 months with a stay of up to 60 days permitted on each arrival. Employment prohibited.

Extensions are prohibited for both Short-term Single Entry and Short-term Multiple Entry visas.

Where To Apply

  • Short-term Single entry: Submit your application at any PNG Diplomatic Mission before travel, OR upon arrival for eligible passport holders at Jacksons International Airport, Port Moresby. Applicants who are Nationals of countries listed as being ineligible for an Entry Permit on arrival must apply for an Entry Permit prior to arrival in PNG.
  • Short-term Multiple entry: Not available on arrival, submit your application at any PNG Diplomatic Mission before you supposed arrival in PNG.


Dependents of Business Entry Permit Holders can apply for a Tourist Entry Permit at PNG Diplomatic Missions or upon arrival at Port Moresby International Airport (subject to eligibility).
