Procedure

It is important for Pakistanis to obtain Domicile and Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) before applying for admission in universities, government jobs, or immigration. Domicile and PRC are legal documents that define your country of residence. However, these documents should not be confused with citizenship or nationality. Legally, every Pakistani is entitled to obtain Domicile & PRC from the District Commissioner Office of his/her district.
NOTE:Domicile And PRC Is Made Province Wise. Punjab, Sindh, Balouchistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Apply in person

1. Visit the commissioner office in your district to submit your applicaton
2. Enquire for the application form and fill the application form.
3. Get application for PRC attested from Oath Commissioner before submission
4. Pay fee challan of Rs. 200/- at National Bank, D.C. Office Branch.
5. Paste 1 rupee stamp on all copies
6. Return to the provincial office to submit your application with the required documents
7. The attending officer will verify your application and can ask for any other document as proof.
8. After validation your application will proceed.

• Five (5x) photographs (passport size) – Un-attested
• Original & Copy of CNIC (for below 18 years of age submit copy of Form -B) – Attested
• Copies of all educational documents till current year – Attested
• Applicants with age below 21 years include copies of CNIC and domicile of their father.
• In case of government employee, copy of service certificate – Attested
• Residence proof – (electric or gas bill, if on rent copy of rent agreement) – Attested
• For married women or man – CNIC copy of spouse, Copies of birth certificates of children or Form B – Atteste

Instructions

• An application for grant of certificate may be presented either to the competent authority, or to the Tehsildar of the Tehsil in which the applicant ordinarily resides, Provided that persons migrated from one division to another may present their applications to the competent authority or the Assistant Commissioner/Tehsildar of the area in which they reside for the most part of the year immediately preceeding the date of application.
• Provided further that Assistant Commissioner/Tehsildar to whom the applicant for grant of Certificate has been presented may get necessary formalities completed and call for a report from the Naib-Tehsildar concerned.

• If your age is less than 22 years then your fathers domicile will be needed and minor affidavit will be required.
• If your age is above 22 then only major affidavit will required to be submitted.
• They will give you the file on the basis of your age; you have to tell them your age.
